TikTok Seller App Manages Online Stores via Smartphones

TikTok this Thursday (Dec. 3.) announced the TikTok Seller application in Indonesia offering sellers the ability to access TikTok features for shopping on mobile devices, such as registration and inventory management, orders online, business analysis of online transactions and many more features, according to a TechCrunch report released on Tuesday (Dec. 6.).

TikTok Seller lets sellers launch their latest campaigns, manage promotions, offer customer support and access educational materials for sellers The report states using the listing of the app store. TikTok is currently running a variety of TikTok Shop pilot programs across Indonesia.

“We are always looking at ways to enhance our community’s experience and regularly test new features that inspire creativity, bring joy and innovate the TikTok experience,” an official TikTok spokesperson stated. “Brands on TikTok have found a creative outlet to authentically connect with audiences, and we’re excited to experiment with new commerce opportunities that enable our community to discover and engage with what they love.”

TikTok introduced the Seller University website earlier this year, aimed at the Indonesian market. The company said at the time that it was one of the numerous tests for the company’s eCommerce solutions. TikTok also released an array of TikTok Shopping tools, which let sellers add a Shopping tab on their TikTok profiles, and also create mini-storefronts with synced product catalogs.

In the last week TikTok introduced their Creator Next service that lets creators access tools to reward their efforts through this social network. Creator Next will be integrated with a few brand new functions “that allow the community to show their appreciation” to creators: Tips and Video Gifts.

Tips lets users show appreciation to creators. They receive 100 percent of the value of their tips and payments are processed through Stripe. Video Gifts allows creators to collect Diamonds — which are gifts from viewers that are worth 5 cents, by launching live and posting videos.

TikTok is also opening up its TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) to more users via Creator Next, which will allow users who are eligible and have at least 10,000 followers to join on the Marketplace and to collaborate with brands who match their aesthetic and interests.
